News GTI alumnus get research associate position at Université Félix Houphouët-Boigny

Dr Gouvé Claver Yian has been appointed research associate at Université Félix Houphouët-Boigny, Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire.

Dr Yian benefitted from 3 short-term GTI grants to work on edible mushrooms of Côte d'Ivoire. He was trained on taxonomy at Meise Botanic Garden.

He successfully defended his Ph.D. thesis entitled 'Champignons comestibles Sud de la Côte d’Ivoire : cas des régions du Gôh, de l’Agnéby-Tiassa et du district d’Abidjan' in September 2018.

Since February 2019, he is a research associate at the Centre National de Floristique, Université Félix Houphouët-Boigny.

The Belgian GTI team wishes him all the best for his career!

He also organised and actively participated in awareness activities about wild edible mushrooms in Côte d'Ivoire, thanks to CEBioS funds (picture).
