Event 2 December 2009 - 11th Young Systematists' Forum

Young Systematists' Forum - FINAL CALL

The YSF will take place in the Flett Theatre in the Natural History Museum on Wednesday 2 December 2009, 9 am - 5 pm followed by a reception. All places for oral presentations are now filled, but the the deadlines for poster presentations have been extended. Tom Richards is to be mailed (T.A.Richards@exeter.ac.uk) by 27 November if you would like to present a poster. You are also very welcome to attend without presenting, but we would be grateful if you would register by emailing David Bass (d.bass@nhm.ac.uk) so that we have an accurate idea of numbers for catering (morning and afternoon tea and coffee, and reception at the end of the day). Details of the meeting are given below.

The annual Young Systematists' Forum represents an exciting setting for postgraduate students and young postdoctoral researchers to present their data, often for the first time, to a scientific audience interested in taxonomy, systematics and phylogenetics.  This well-established event provides an important opportunity for budding systematists to discuss their research in front of their peers within a supportive environment.  Supervisors and other established systematists are also encouraged to attend.
