Abstract
This project is complementary to the one of S.A SOIFA. It aims to make operational the needed human and infrastructural capacity to install and maintain a reference collection of holothuroid specimens.
Training location and duration: Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences, Brussels and Royal Museum for Central Africa, Tervuren; from 20.VI.2004 to 04.VII.2004
Gained personal capacity: Mr YAHAYA is now capable of handling specimen databases.
Gained institutional capacity: laptop equiped with a clone of the specimen database of the holothuroid collection of the Royal Museum for Central Africa; nucleus of a holothuroid reference collection now present in the Centre national de documentation et de recherchescientifique in Moroni.
Remarks: Mr. I YAHAYA benefitted from several other training sessions in Belgium; notably via the African Biodiversity Information Center.
