AGWANDA Bernard, Kenya
Abstract
The collections of the National Museums of Kenya (NMK) are rich in mammal specimens; about half of which are rodents, bats and shrews. Unfortunately these are the least known and hence poorly labelled, curated and identified specimens.
This project involved a taxonomic training of one research staff of the NMK, who in turn trained colleagues at home to further expand the know-how.
Training location: Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences, Brussels
